We’re researching major components of the Indian economy, as well as a wide range of biology-focused companies, to identify areas where innovations available today can make a substantial difference.
Here are some highlights of our progress:
Several clusters of farms that each ship over a hundred tons of vegetables per week are now interested in seriously exploring bio-based alternatives to refrigeration for keeping their produce fresh. Likewise, some clusters of fruit growers that each ship hundreds of tons of fruit per season have also expressed their keen interest.
A large manufacturer of leather furniture has agreed to explore cruelty-free alternatives to animal leather with our help.
A major orange producer in India’s largest orange-farming region wants to replace single-use plastic with bio-based alternatives.
